With the elevated train tracks adjacent to the hotel, the Steam Plant Hotel can be a bit noisy. But, you eventually get used to the occasional rumble of the train, and they do provide free earplugs for those guests that may be bothered. This hotel is very close to all that downtown Spokane has to offer. Riverpark Mall is a couple blocks away, as are a number of great restaurants. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast at nearby Rosie's cafe. I would eat breakfast at Rosie's even if I didn't get a guest coupon. Enjoy your stay at the Steam Plant Hotel!!!

We were in town for a concert at the Knitting Factory and the hotel was a short walk away. Room was cozy for our 1 night stay and the staff were just soo sweet!!

I loved the staff was very friendly was kinda upset that when we had to pay to park. The room was nice. Prepare for not the most comfy pillows :) but overall a good stay for the price.

a great night. Lots of trains, but earplugs were helpful. Awesome shower! We luckily brought an extra duvet. My suggestion is to have another chair and maybe a small table. For 2 people, it was awkward. We ate dinner in the room so needed a bit for space. Great parking, Awesome service at front desk and free breakfast at Rosie's was excellent!

the front desk attendant was being very judgy because I was tried to use a prepaid card for the incidental fee, and I asked to use her charger to turn my debit card back on and my phone was dead after 13 hours of traveling (her android was plugged in on the counter which is the only reason I asked) to which she replied “this is an iPhone cord, so no sorry.”which was annoying because that just made me feel she was implying I was trying to steal her cord or i was being shady. I completely understand the policy for the cards, but you shouldn’t allow guests to pay for a room with those cards then either. Very misleading, I use prepaid cards when I travel because I’ve had my information stolen from a front desk employee before. I don’t appreciate that she was video calling with someone the whole time I was checking in, not professional at all, and when you’re dealing with customers private information, personal devices shouldn’t be on display for the customers, didn’t sit well with me. She had knitting stuff all over the counter, but should be investing that time into making sure the rooms are clean and ready. The room wasn’t very clean, and had a weird smell, was extremely drafty, the floor creaked throughout the room and you could hear everything going on around the block, I stayed until about 12:30AM and then just went and booked a room at the Davenport. I didn’t use it but the bathroom looked nice. Hopefully management can refresh proper customer service with their staff,

Great downtown location.

The hotel is recently updated. The room is spacious, the bed was firm and comfortable. The room has a coffee maker (Pods), mini-fridge and microwave. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a ton of restaurant and bar options within a few blocks. They offer a $6 credit towards breakfast at Rosie's which has great food, but there can be a little bit of a wait for your food if they are busy. There are railroad tracks nearby and you can hear the trains but they are no too loud. I would definitely stay here again.

I thought i hit the jackpot based on the price and pics but nope, i was tricked. There is a freight train that passes OVER the hotel and mostly at night time so it was so noisy. The property was not clean and i had to clean and wipe dpwn things on my own upon arrival. Their fancy free breakfast is actually a voucher to a restuarant you walk down the street to. You have either a $6 off or pick from 4 options. Property was also run soen and in an unsafe area. Not worse the price honestly.

Rooms are a bit small and not that good looking or comfortable for a 3 star hotel. Front desk people were also not accommodating with our request to make a small change. They had that typical downtown hotel greed, where everything costs and nothing is free.
