We have stayed at NLI several times before their closure and renovation so we were very excited to be back for the 1st time since they reopened. Upon checking in, we found the bathroom in our room to be dirty. The floor had hair all over it. Housekeeping came immediately and a lovely young man swept and mopped. As we left for our activities the next day, we stopped at the front desk and asked that the attendant please request that our room had a thorough cleaning. We returned to find the bathroom floor not swept, again. While I understand that this could have been from us, I am annoyed at the lack of attention to our request. We had dinner in Triplett’s one night and found our burgers to be over-charred on the edges. Breakfast at Lionne was fine but $16 for a waffle (without the fruit) v. $10 for a breakfast sandwich on a fresh croissant was not worth it. Parking is tricky as you are given one pass to exit per day, however, we were in and out a few times so had to pay. We were given an extra pass to exit on our 1st day because we checked in and ran back out in an hour but, the garage was charging event rates due to a wrestling match at Rec Hall. All in all, a beautiful building and renovation but, not our best stay in Happy Valley by far.

Nittany Lion Inn offers easy access to the Bryce Jordan Center and Beaver Stadium and is located on campus. The Inn is completely brought back to optimal conditions with a cozy lobby and hallways where you can sit and noodle on your computer. They have a fine dining area and a sports bar type place and a coffee shop for your choosing. Rooms are great. You can eat at the Inn and or engage with the hustle and bustle of student life downtown. The Nittany Lion Inn allows you to choose how much you want to interact with downtown State College life. It’s a great place to stay.

The rooms were clean. Loved the decor - simple and classy. The beds were comfortable and the room darkness was perfect with the blinds. The shower was fantastic as well.
