This hotel claimed they did not have my reservation from Expedia. I showed them the confirmation made earlier in the day and still said they could not help and I needed to call Expedia myself. Zero help. I actually got in an argument with the front desk because they never even offered to get us the room at the same rate and figure out the refund later. We had to ask that question. Just rude and terrible. This hotel is part of a network of properties including the Montvale Hotel in Spokane and Montvale Event Center. I used to recommend these properties, but things have changed and NEVER AGAIN!! Lot's of better options.

We had a great stay at Hotel Ruby. The free breakfast vouchers to the Farmhouse Kitchen was definitely our favorite part before long days of skiing at Schweitzer. The facility felt clean, organized, and the staff were very friendly. We had everything we needed at this place! Only complaint is the beds are not very comfortable. Our mattress felt pretty old and had a thin mattress pad on top. We struggled every night to get good sleep all the way through the night. Overall great stay!

The Ruby is right at the crossroad to Schweitzer ski resort. It is on a main road but located far back on their lot so there is no road noise. Sandpoiny was a short drive away.

The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our family ski trip. The rooms are bit small but they do have a ski locker if you wish to use it. There was not any oatmeal available for breakfast as the website advertises and by Sunday, a lot of the grab-n-go items were gone and never restocked. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would stay again. Close to lots of restaurants and a short drive up to Schweitzer.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. The rooms were modern and clean. They had a great ski/board storage room with complimentary locks and an area for waxing. The pool and hot tub area were nice too.
