Very Nice place in the wilderness

The Mountain Inn was a great place to stay for skiing at Lutsen Mountains. Everyone was very nice at the front desk and I slept great here.

My husband and I loved how close we were to Lutsen Mountain. We could drop our sons off to ski and then hang out in our room until they were ready to be picked up. Also, we could walk across the road to eat at a restaurant. Very nice, clean rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Very quiet, safe, front deck is extremely polite and helpful. Clean bathroom and most importantly recycle bins everywhere. I love it, they care about the environment

Great little place, It is a 1/2 drive from the lifts. Not quite close enough to walk but perfectly situated for an affordable stay. I wasn't expecting much but it was a great place to stay. Friendly staff and well apportioned.

Pro tip: Bring earplugs Inexpensive compared to others in area; nice decor; excellent bed with a variety of pillow options. Separate recycle bin is a nice touch, but antithetical to the Keurig coffee maker in-room. There's a self-serve pantry with a variety of food options including frozen pizzas and burritos (aka real food). Ski storage in room, refrigerator, and microwave. Cons included water that wasn't very hot and paper-thin walls and ceiling. I could hear someone snoring all night through the walls (bring earplugs!) and it sounded like the ceiling was crashing in when folks moved around in the room above (get a room on the top floor!)

Likes: - Comparatively inexpensive compared to other Lutsen properties near the ski hill - Clean: Rooms and property was all very well cleaned. - Staff was super friendly Dislikes: - Property is starting to show its age. Some things could stand to be updated. - Lots of creaking when the tenant above us was walking around in their room. Could also hear our neighbor's microwave and such through the walls. - No available breakfast options that were close. Plan to bring something, or spending a small fortune on something at the resort. Overall, this is a very pleasant stay and is super convenient for our ski race weekends and we will continue to stay here when we need.

Nice little spot

Cute little place with a nice price point for the location. Do not get room 101 right under the stairs as the morning boots clunking down the stairs will wake you up!
