PERFECT LOCATION, BEAUTIFUL VIEW: Located between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg

Welcome to your sanctuary in the Smoky Mountains: "Mountain Oak." Nestled between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, this newly redecorated haven offers more than just a stunning mountain vista – it's a retreat strategically placed just five minutes from the Parkway, ensuring convenience without sacrificing tranquility. Imagine relaxing on your deck, and being so close to Dollywood you can sometimes catch the lonesome wail of their steam locomotive as it echoes through the night.

Unlike accommodations in Gatlinburg, which could mean enduring an hour-long commute to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, or those in northern Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley, which might entail a similar journey to Gatlinburg, "Mountain Oak" provides proximity to all the area's attractions within minutes.

BEFORE BOOKING THIS PROPERTY, PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION IN THIS LISTING AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO "THINGS TO KNOW" AND "HOUSE RULES" FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING BELOW THE REVIEWS AND HOST INFORMATION, TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE AGREEABLE TO ALL.

This charming retreat features two bedrooms, one with a king log bed and one with a queen log bed, each opening onto a serene deck adorned with rocking chairs to savor the mountain panorama. Inside, discover two full bathrooms, a cozy living space with a sleeper sofa, gas log fireplace, and expansive HDTV. The versatile dining table moonlights as a card table or bumper pool table, while the modern kitchen boasts granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. Step outside to the lower deck to find a charcoal grill (don't forget to bring your charcoal) and a bubbling hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.

Upstairs, a snug bonus room awaits, where children can lounge on a plush love seat, immersing themselves in Xbox 360 games or Blu-ray movies. Feel free to bring your own games (or even your game system), controllers, and movies.

While "Mountain Oak" is conveniently close to attractions, it remains nestled in a peaceful mountainside setting, ideal for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Getting to "Mountain Oak" is a breeze compared to many mountain cabins. Like most all mountain cabins in the area, if there is snow or ice in the forecast (which is actually pretty rare), you should have a four wheel drive vehicle to get up and down the mountain, and/or bring enough provisions to remain in the cabin until the road is clear. Otherwise a four wheel drive is not necessary.

Let us enhance your stay with insider recommendations for dining and attractions, as well as local shortcuts to bypass traffic.

We provide essential amenities to kickstart your retreat, including toiletries, linens, and towels. However, for hygiene reasons, we do not supply perishable food items. Fortunately, nearby stores offer everything you may need.

For specific events like Dollywood or Ober Gatlinburg skiing, please verify their operating hours on their respective websites.

Enjoy seamless self-check-in with our keyless coded doorpad entry system. And rest assured, our top-tier cleaning and maintenance team ensure your comfort and peace of mind throughout your stay.

Embrace the serenity of the Smokies at "Mountain Oak" – your perfect mountain escape awaits.

The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a sofa bed.

Quick Weekend Getaway

We brought our friend for her first visit to Gatlinburg and first cabin stay. The cabin is spacious but cozy at the same time, with the downstairs having a large open floorplan (including a 3/4 bathroom) and the 2nd floor having 2 bedrooms with a full bathroom. There's also a small game room upstairs with a comfy loveseat and tv with an Xbox. We stayed in the king bedroom and used the upstairs bathroom and our friend stayed in the queen bedroom and used the downstairs bathroom. The hot tub was clean and the perfect temp for the evenings. Scott and Regina were excellent hosts, they stayed in communication with us and provided us with lots of suggestions for activities. They also gave us detailed directions with shortcuts to get to the cabin and avoid traffic. We'll definitely book this cabin again.

Good spot for a couple

House was super clean, well stocked. Layout fine for a couple or couple w smaller kids. Owners directions perfect. Had a problem w stove and owner responded immediately. One bad- dining table is really a game table with backless stools that don’t fit. Ate on couch and coffee tabletable

Gatlinburg Trip

The cabin was nice and quiet. We weren’t there much. We did play cards at table in evening and table stools were uncomfortable We didn’t use hot tub because there was leaves and dirt in it. There was trash at different places in side yard and front yard. Not a lot but enough to be noticeable. There was hair in upstairs tub. Queen bed was a little uncomfortable because you could feel coils of mattress. Otherwise cabin was great. Thank you.

Great Location!

This property is perfect for being out and about in both Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and especially Dollywood. Convenient but still on the mountain. The road is a bit challenging but worth the trip. Owners were helpful with local attraction selections and were very responsive. Directions to the cabin were confusing but Apple Maps led me right. Lots of specific rules but I understand if this is a property they stay in occasionally. It was too hot for the hot tub! My only complaints are a damp-ish smell downstairs (either due to the humidity since the thermostat was set to 75 or possibly the downstairs bathroom), the upstairs bathroom could have been cleaner and there was some old food in the fridge. Very minor issues though. We had a great time and would def return.

Great cabin in the mountains.

I’ve seen other reviews about properties like this and the road to get up to the cabin. It does seem a little scary the first trip up, but after that, it’s normal. If you want a cabin up in the mountains, this is what it takes to get there. Like I said, the first trip up the mountain was different because we had not done it before, but then it was just normal sfter that. The cabin itself was awesome. The first night we decided to cook dinner in the home and use the grill, and anything that you could think of was provided for you. The hot tub is a nice touch to have to relax after long days of seeing the sites. The cabin is just far enough away from everything to just be peaceful in the woods, yet a close enough drive to everything you want to see. Would definitely stay here again. The host kept in touch before the stay to make sure everything was known. Great hosts. Thank you again.
